SB9—THE JUVENILE LWOP BILL—MAY BE VOTED ON SOON

It is possible that SB9 will be voted up or down on Friday in attempt to pass it after a defeat a few weeks ago. This is the bill that would give some people who were given life sentences as juveniles, a chance at a chance to eventually be paroled.

AB131, the 2nd half of the CA Dream Act, passed the Senate floor with 22 votes yesterday! It is now heading to the Assembly floor for concurrence. Then to the Governor’s desk (Jerry Brown). We need to fill the phone lines- NOW! (916) 445-2841 & (213) 897-0322.
